ABOUT ME

I am a work hard, play hard, sleep little kind of person. I love all forms of art; music, literature, theatre etc. My friends mean the most to me and I would do anything for any of them. I love meeting new people and learning through their stories and shared experiences. I'm all for travelling on a budget and the occasional extravagance is enjoyed with pleasure. Studying at the university of Leeds I hope to spend a year in Valencia 2015/16, and would like to do journalism, marketing, design and continue my profession of a musician in the future. Currently gigging accross Leeds and Bath on Saxophone, I also have a number of projects on the side including classical clarinet, spanish clarinet, fusion bands, and composition.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can teach music well - I have two Grade 8s and music theory and music might become a profession. I could teach English studying a literature degree, speaking it fluently and spoken frequently in public in the past. Not sure if it works but i also have alot of work - experience having done many jobs including working at a 5 star hotel restaurant serving 6 course wedding gala dinners, to a riding school in York and a supermarket so if any jobs such as these were needed wherever i am i'd be happy to help. I'm also up for everything so if somebody wanted to walk around a whole city in a day or something or visit somewhere nearby or party all night long, i'm up for pretty much everything. I love hearning people stories and meeting new people so i'm very happy to meet people in new places. I have a couch in Leeds and could help anyone needing a spot along as it was outside of exam season.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books wise from Shakespeare to Oscar Wilde to Jennifer Donelly and Philip Pullman. Films favourites have got to be Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Mouling Rouge, Billy Elliot, The boat that rocked etc...Music from the musicals of Jersey Boys and Cats to Bastille, Imagine Dragons and Rudimental to Mozart and Tchaikovsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling with friends. Gold Duke of Edinburgh with 25 sixth formers in Corsica, met one of my best friends in a pub who lives in Barcelona and me in Bath, one conversation lead to traveling and exchanging houses!

Teach, Learn, Share

Speak English. Degree in Literature & Performance but also have studied politics spanish & philosophy. Grade 8 in both saxophone and clarinet, done music theory, just finishing A levels in Music, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, English Literature. Done a lot of sport and training so can help train people up, provide plans and motivate.
