Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling to study European agriculture! I will be analyzing German value-added production, working on an Italian vineyard, and consulting a Swiss organic farm. I recently received a grant that will allow me to work in community gardens with refugees in the Mediterranean.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love sharing music and I collect vinyl records! From 60s-70s rock, jazz, hip hop, prog rock, new wave to impressionist classic stuff. I am really digging low-fi tunes right now...90s rock, shoegaze, and moody-girl-math rock.

I like films but I suffer from cinematic amnesia; I can never remember what I watch. I think I liked No Country for Old Men, There Will be Blood, Melancholia, and Mother! According to my journal, I also enjoyed All About Eve, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, and Roman Holiday.

I like fiction and self improvement genres for books. Just finished George Saunders' Pastoralia and In Persuasion Nation. For nonfiction, I most recently enjoyed Just This, The Power of One and The Four Noble Truths of Love.

I traveled to Indonesia in 2012 and participated in a Muslim home-stay during Ramadan.

I love to cook for others and can make vegan, vegetarian or omnivore dishes. Tell me your favorite flavors and I'll prepare a meal! Because I am a farmer, I can also help in the yard or garden with weeding, planting, pruning, harvesting, etc. I can clean, organize spaces, do laundry or if you have a business, I would be happy to share any of my marketing knowledge with you - SEO, copy writing, web development, e-commerce ideas.
