Hello there!! My name is Ellen, I'm a 24 year old Irish girl who has recently moved to Canada. I'm a massive coffee lover, I particularly love going to a cafe with whatever book I happen to be reading, and spending an afternoon that way! Obviously, if the weather's nice I'll head to a park (book and coffee in hand!)

I'm a very calm person, very easy going and relaxed. I have lived in house shares since I went to uni in 2019. Moreover, I worked as an au pair in the south of Spain, living with a family and helping them put by looking after their 3 daughters, and, I have worked as a housekeeper for 6 months in a hostel in Amsterdam. Therefore I keep common spaces clean and tidy and respect your belongings and space as a thank you for letting me into your home

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just moved to Canada on my working-holiday visa! I'm planning on getting an apartment in Montreal (where I've been staying in a hostel) but I'm heading to Ottawa to see my Canadian friend who I met in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, she can't offer me any accommodation so I thought I'd try my luck here instead of committing to the cost of a hostel

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A bookshop-cafe in Den Haag! It was over 100 years old, you could read the books as you drank, it was full of beautiful bits of random decorations (typewriters, chessboards etc.!)
