I run and read a lot, and move by bike - things that make me feel good.

Nature in general and the ocean in particular make me happy. However, I spend more time in the garden, growing my own vegetables. Food is a big interest of mine, but not as much the actual cooking as the ingredients; the beauty and strength of the plants . When visiting new countries I love to learn about the cuisine and stroll around for ages at markets/grocery stores.

I enjoy stimulating my brain through discussions about ideas and the heart. When I have the time I enjoy going to seminars and lectures about art, philosophy, feminism, animal rights, politics and society.
Usually I find that socializing in small groups makes it easier to have a profound conversation. I prefer to talk about ideas and how to improve oneself, over gossiping and I always try to make people feel included in groups.

I also have a summer house close to Lysekil, where I’m spending a lot of time during summer (gardening, reading, swimming, running). If I’m not in town you’re invited to come here as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a surfer I love Couchsurfing when someone opens up their home for me and allows me to be a part of their everyday life. You don’t necessarily have to speak much or do a lot, but you get accepted and invited. It’s a rare and wonderful feeling, and a certain freedom too.

As a host (and of course also as a guest) I love to meet new friends to learn about their everyday life and country but also see new perspectives to my own life, meeting people I wouldn’t meet in my ordinary life. I also love rediscovering my home town, whilst showing it to guests. I’ve met several people I call close friends through Couchsurfing, and I hope to meet many more.

Meeting people through the sole interest of connection creates a special room, without expectations. This is what I believe makes life precious, and I believe it to be common on this platform.
