Overview
About Me
My name is Ellen and I have basically just been working full time and travelling as much as possible over the last 3 years, especially Europe.
My life has compleyely changed since I started travelling, way more than I imagined and I would love to be around people who I can share those experiences with, and hear about theirs.
I am a vegetarian/vegan (I hope this isn't a problem!) and I am extremely passionate in this area (but don't worry if you NEVER want to talk about it, that's absolutely fine :))
I really like having deep and long conversations about absolutely anything, from world poverty and the solutions, to a plain brick wall :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couch surfing to possibly stay at someone's house for a short period of time to best understand the culture of the place that I am staying in by assimilating in its very citizens homes.
I also love to meet locals and people so open minded to be on this website hosting fellow travellers.
I have heard so many good things about couch surfing. I've still never tried it so I am super excited!
Oh and I'm on a budget so this a great op ;)
Interests
I would consider myself to be pretty passionate about world issues, especially refugees and wars (or rather, the passion for them not to exist) . But I love all things that have to do with the world, whether that be travel, geography, politics or just the general global news.
I am really passionate about learning how I can better this world, leave it better than the way I found it, to have as least of a negative impact while I am here and if anyone could give me tips of that I would LOVE that.
I am also kinda obsessed with rap music, Riverdale and despite only ever being to Europe in the winter, the sun :)
I love politics, history and humanity. I am a strong believer in the law of attraction and am very passionate about personal development and emphasise the power of self awareness. I
- culture
- politics
- traveling
- socializing
- history
- law
Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely love Kendrick Lamar, and in general, most rap and hip-hop music, however, I really enjoy bits of every genre of music.
I have dropped of reading recently unfortunately but I when I do read it tends to be non fiction books
such as Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, the Law Of Attraction. My favourite fiction is The Alchemist :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The thing I am most proud of was teaching English for a short period of time in a NGO school in Cambodia. I volunteered there for about 1 month after completing a TEFL course and it was something I had been dreaming about for a really long time.
I am really touched by Cambodia's raw history and soooo inspired and in awe of the amazing, always smiling, always nice people that occupy this amazing country.
I can't wait to go back there one day!!
