ABOUT ME

Hi I'm Ellen. After school I did some voluntary work at a cultural center and concert venue in Osnabrueck, Germany where I was able to enjoy lots of culture, art and music in my every day life, besides I started to do some couchsurfing hosting. After a few months of travelling (the balkans) I settled in Berlin, where I did an apprenticeship as a audiovisual (video) designer/technician, besides i did some little documentarys and short films. My vision is still to get to know lots of interesting people from all over the world, spread information, perspectives and unheard voices thru video... its a big goal and i am doing little steps here and there. :P
Right now i study cultural and social science and gender studies, still dont know if i like the university or what degree i should do.
I am interested in movies and media, cinematography and photography,
humans, sociology and politics, feminism, DIY culture, soundsystem culture, dub, drum and bass music, hiphop soul funk .... and i play the saxophone in a brass band. Ah, and I am quite good at cooking I guess! ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have done both surfing and hosting. Unfortunately I am not able to host anyone at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Started couchsurfing in 2012, I was 17 then... (having grown up in a small village)I think back then it definately helped me develop an open minded world view! and still does! Thanks to the idea of couchsurfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach vegetarian/vegan dishes, I like to repare things in the house, I am good a sewing and repairing clothes,
I could teach the saxophone, or how to use a camera properly, or do a photoshooting, i would love to exchange favourite movies and music.
