ABOUT ME
I'm Ellen, born in Ireland, but I've lived in Ireland, Mexico, South Africa, the US, and now I'm in Chile for 6 months.
I'm down to earth, love to explore new places, meet new people and have new experiences.
Over the last 2 years I've been living from my backpack in NY, Seattle, San Francisco, and now I'm in Chile and finally able to host again!! Excited to pay all the generosity I've received forward.
You can see reviews for hosting and surfing I did on my old profile here: https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/dudleymont/

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed with 19 hosts, and had 16 surfers since 2008. Those experiences have been some of the best of my travels.

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to read a LOT of fiction. I grew up reading all my parents books. I love Iain M Banks - his imagination is just baffling, and John Updike - seeing into the past and how different it was only 50 years ago is fascinating to me. Now I find myself reading more scientific books, and I miss literature!
I love music that makes me feel something, and that I can dance to.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting sotano de las golondrinas in Mexico
Walking across the barranca del cobre in Mexico
Walking part of the Camino to Santiago de Compostela
Hiking in Annapurna in Nepal
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been working on my own startup for 4 years now, so I can talk about co-working, ideas, product, UI, mobile, fundraising etc until the cows come home.
I've lived in a lots of different places so love comparing cultures.
I can also share what I've learned about being healthy after getting breast cancer; buddhism, vipassana and metta.
I love hearing other people's stories and opinions about life and how technology is changing socialization and what is happening with monogamy, and feminism, human culture and motives... and wondering what will happen next!
