ABOUT ME

I am a teacher in Chicago and am so lucky to teach the unbelievable young teenagers that I have!
I love participating in sports and Martial Arts.

I enjoy good conversations and am more of a listener because I like to learn about what people want to share.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy and learn from each experience. I am practicing living in the moment and not to worry about things that will only result in needless stress. I can't experience everything this world has to offer but I love meeting new people that can share their experience, perceptions and philosophies with me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host whenever I can but if I can't host, I'm always up to try to meet up for coffee, drinks, fun activities, aimless wandering and showing you the city!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Athens and have hosted a few surfers so far.

Interests

I have practiced Judo my whole life and have started Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing and others. I also play rugby and volleyball. I love the outdoors, the beach, biking and being active.
Painting, writing and reading are a few outlets I have that help me chill or let out my thoughts. I enjoy learning about and talking about different cultures, societies and politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: reggae, rock, hip-hop, jazz, it all depends on the mood I'm in.
Books: Kurt Vonnegut's books, Tao, Alas Babylon, Things Fall Apart, The Plague, 1984, Animal Farm, The Trial, The Stranger, random history, current events, socio-political concerns.
Movies: What Dreams May Come, random comedies, action movies, anything that has some depth to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled around much of the USA and parts of Canada competing in judo. I saw new cities and competed against some of the best in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love history, philosophy, art and so much more. I don't know what I can teach but I like to talk about anything interesting and learn more about it.
