I'm a 25 year old Irish girl with a desire to learn about permaculture, organic farming, ecology and community. I'm currently studying a one year Organic Horticulture course. I studied Spanish and Sociology in university in Dublin and plan to become a primary school teacher.
I love traveling and getting embedded in new cultures and communities. I was lucky to spend a year living in Mexico and have spent a few months travelling around Spain. I really want to learn about living in an ecologically sound way that would allow me to cause less harm to our planet.

In Ireland I'm involved in grassroots activism organising alongside migrant communities. I've been organising with Refugee and Migrant Solidarity Ireland since 2015. We're a non-hierarchical group that believe no one is illegal and that the global border regime is unjust and causes unnecessary misery and death for so many. We've spent the last three years organising regular events with refugees, asylum seekers and local people. I've also been involved in housing activism (not enough!!) as unfortunately Ireland is going through a major housing access crisis.

For me activism, community building, care work and nature are the main things that give me meaning. In a society with increasing alienation, isolation and segregation behind so many borders, sharing a meal, chats and joy is essential. ❤

For the next year 2019 - 2020 I plan to study, see some more of this beautiful country and meet some nice people 🌻🌻🌻

I'm moving to Spain for a few months to volunteer on permaculture farms with Workaway. I want to learn as much as possible about living sustainably on this planet and working with nature instead of against her. I'm very excited to meet new people and be part of new communities :)
