Hi there! I'm Ellen, a marine scientist working and living close to the ocean on Canada's east coast.

A little about myself... I love travel, and enjoy meeting and talking to people from all over the world. Learning about and discussing different cultures and life perspectives has always been a great pleasure of mine. I also love to read, cook, paint, enjoy the Canadian summers outside and I'm an avid tennis fan. I'd say I'm a pretty down to earth and easy going individual. I love conversation, both big and small, and even better if it happens with a beer in hand ;)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I'd love to meet with different people whom I might not speak with in my daily life in Canada. I'd like to connect with other travelers, share experiences, and hopefully learn from each other and have fun! I know the importance that travel can play in life so I'm excited to belong to a community that encourages and facilitates accessible and budget friendly travelling methods for people from all walks of life.

I have eclectic taste with music. Anything from folk rock, indie/alternative, popular music, instrumental, some classical and much in between. Just not country ;) Father John Misty and Ray Lamontagne are my current favourite artists.

Movie I'm currently mulling over... Irreversible. Books... Too many to list, always open to recommendations.
