Currently living in Lund, Sweden. Studying a course in environmental sociology (soon starting a bachelor of physics - weird combination, I know). Self-professed Scandi-phile.

Grew up on the Far South Coast of Australia. Not really your typical Australian when it comes to sports, beaches or weird slang. Left home in April 2015 to backpack solo for 6 months, and fell in love with Europe. I do miss my cat though.

Trying to make the most of my first semester in Lund getting involved in the student life and Nations, while becoming emotionally attached to my bike, and learning the Swedish way.

When I was planning my trip to Europe, my mum suggested I join this website she'd heard of. I did, but then kind of forgot about it. Sometime later, we received a request from an Irish guy cycling around the world (facebook.com/pedaltheplanettv). We accepted and it was such a great experience. I've since met him in Ireland where he returned the favour, and he's become a great friend!

I love the concept of the sharing community, the idea of meeting locals and exploring a place beyond the tourist spots.

I've also had some great times with hosts outside of couchsurfing - homestays in Ireland during the Cycle Against Suicide, a Swedish family I met in Australia before I left, and the family of the Italian guy who did an exchange to my school last year :)
