Overview
About Me
I’m a human rights lawyer in Amsterdam, and have taken three months off of work to travel. Having spent time in California, Fiji and New Zealand, Australia is the final leg of my trip and I’m incredibly excited to explore! I'd like to think that I'm an open minded person, interested in others and their stories, and generally quite happy and positive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It’s just such a great way to meet people and get to know a country. I was on an East coast trip with my friend for the summer of 2012, we've stayed with people in NYC and Providence, RI, and after that, we headed over to another couch in Boston. Everything worked out perfectly, the people I've stayed with have been amazingly open, friendly and up for anything.
I've also couch surfed in France, on a city trip to Bordeaux.
The thing I love most about couch surfing is the different experience you get from a city, with tips&tricks from locals. I really enjoy getting a glimpse of places as they are to their inhabitants as opposed to tourists, and hope to see that side of many more places!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Alaska to do a high school exchange for a year. AMAZING. Alaska is a beautiful place and so different from anywhere I've ever been. With mountains, bears and moose in the backyard and temperatures that go down to 40 below it was an experience I'll never forget.
