About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To roller skate and curate

ABOUT ME

I am a world wide traveling commute and vertical roller skating curator. Seems like a mouth full but I guarantee I'm not boring. My focus is the promoting arts, specifically Native American, underground, and underrepresented artists. I also draw and paint, have had a few museum shows, even organized an exhibition outside of the country. I was the first curator in history to ride ramps in their own exhibition, but this wasn't for attentions sake, I have skated with some of the top skateboarders in the world. Jeff Grosso, Steve Caballero, and Christian Hosoi, for anybody who knows skateboarding.
I just recently graduated with a Master's degree in Exhibition Design, meaning my focus is on gallery and museum exhibitions.
If you are into the arts for skating, or just looking to exchange experiences with someone interesting, I might be the couch surfer for you.

PHILOSOPHY

Draw, eat, sleep, skate, curate, educate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't yet used couch surfer on a regular basis but my friends will tell you that when it comes to couch surfing, I am a professional. Since I commute by roller skate, there are times when I have to spend the night in cities close enough from home to drive but too far to skate. I also like staying at friends houses who live near nice skateparks so as a favor, I might clean the kitchen, bathroom, cook a meal or do some yard work. You won't find any drama from me, skating consumes my time, not hating!

Music, Movies, and Books

Foreign films, independent films, documentaries, art house films, occasional junk films.
I just like music. But don't bring me anything comercial, cause I bore easily.
Books on enlightenment, art, cultural survival and politics and economics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Broke my arm, got surgery, and still successfully built a skatepark, saved a baby kitty and did exhibitions in Dakar Senegal. I have skated in 15 states throughout the U.S. and on 2 continents. I was the first Native woman in History to show at the Women's History Museum of California for our nations first Native American Heritage month. I helped reestablish the career of Mila Gokhman; a Jewish Ukrainian artist, survivor of the Soviet Era. I'll tell you that story if we meet. I skated through the city of Watt's daily to teach art to inner city children. If you know Watt's you know how hard that was.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching art, skating, and Native American Culture. People love my kitty from Africa, Bijoux Bijoux. In fact, while I was in Senegal, Bijoux was more popular than me! He's had a lot of adventures for being a cat and isn't yet even a year old, well, maybe by the time some of you read this.
My family has lived in California for 120+ years, originating from Arizona, New Mexico and Mexico. I have a lot of history to share.
I've seen a lot of people live in concert, from BBKing, to Bruce Springsteen, Fiona Apple, Tool, Massive Attack, James Brown, Depeche Mode. I just love good music.
