Hiya, I'm Ellie! I graduated in May 2016 with a Bachelor's in Psychology and didn't know what to do so I flew across the world to New Zealand! I'm working at a riding for the disabled program and will go back home in June to get a Doctorate in physical therapy. During our term break coming up I will spend two weeks in Australia, a country I have never visited! I've never traveled in a new country alone so I'm excited to see some cool places and most of all, meet new people! I love to laugh a lot (I think I'm funny) and also hear people's stories. Looking forward to getting to know you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm going to be in Australia for two weeks and I would love to meet some local people to stay with and possibly show me around (or just recommend some cool places to go).

Music, Movies, and Books

My absolute favorite book series is Harry Potter (yes, I am part of that craze and not ashamed of it!). I love reading all kinds of books but my guilty pleasure is mystery thrillers.
I love most movies but some of my favorites are Meet the Parents, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Remember the Titans, Fracture and a million more I can't remember at the moment.
As far as music, I have a very wide range of taste. There's usually not music I dislike but my favorite dude at the moment is Ed Sheeran. Judge me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to a new country for a few months without knowing anyone there!
This is by far the scariest thing I've done but also my best decision. New Zealand is so beautiful and full of amazingly kind people. Since working at Riding for the Disabled, I have seen the strength and resilience of the kids and families and have been inspired to become a physical therapist.
Of course, another amazing thing I will do is visit Australia, and once again I have no idea what I'm doing!
