ABOUT ME

I'm Ellie MJ, known to many of my friends as MJ (the name acquired a certain ring since the Spiderman movies) and many variations aside. Always open to more. Non-smoking. Relatively normal. My friends would probably describe me as pretty laid back - intensity is not something i encourage in myself or in people. I can take a joke. I always try to stay calm and good-humoured. My philosophy in life is usually that 'it's not the end of the world' - it's a sure way of giving yourself an essential slap in the face that steers you clear of feeling sorry for yourself. Fancy myself as a bit of a movie buff - nothing better for me then cracking open a drink with a friend and enjoying a good film. Sometimes have stints of being wildly antisocial: emergency pub gathering required. I'm organised. And tidy. Very supportive of give-and-take. I love to travel and meet new people...and if i had the choice would much rather travel the world in 3rd Class than stay put in 1st.

Intereses

Watching films.
Writing in general (love making lists).
I dabble in the odd musical instrument - aim to learn guitar, know a bit of piano and saxophone.
Anthropology and cultural diversity
Avid Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fan and don't care how nerdy that makes me.
Career interest: possibly film-making (including documentaries)/directing/producing/screenwriting.

I survived a British countryside all-girls boarding school for 7 years. Pretty amazing.
Interrailed in Italy for 3 weeks with 2 friends in summer of 2012.
Lone trip up USA East Coast when i was 17 (2011), interested in university there before deciding against it. NYC is the best city ever.
My life has been too short of awestruck moments - which is why i need to travel and experience some!
