About Me

Hello!
My name is Ellie and I am originally from Bulgaria, but I’ve lived in the United Kingdom for 7 years now.

I love traveling, meeting new people, hiking, and I’m always up for trying new things - most recently I’ve given windsurfing a go.
I enjoy indoors bouldering/climbing, yoga, and I’m partial to modern strategic boardgames. I love arts and crafts and doing creative things or being in beautiful places. I’m also a real foodie and love eating out.

I am currently travelling through the US to explore equality in higher education and meet brilliant people along the way and experience as much of the country as I can!

The boring stuff: double jabbed & boosted; don't smoke; drink socially; in general not comfortable meeting with or staying with people with no references. Please don’t use CS as a dating app, there’s plenty of those available!

Thanks for reading,
Ellie

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couch surfed here and there and I love it; I've also hosted whenever I've had the opportunity. I also love showing people around - I could probably guide you around Sofia or Nottingham.

I've had some brilliant CS experiences and although it's beena while since I've been active, I'm hoping to meet some people on my US trip.

As a traveller I tend to be fairly independent, but always appreciate if hosts want to spend time with me and show me around or share a meal.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy modern fiction - anything from Murakami to Chimamnda Adichie, Paul Auster to Kazuo Ishiguro. I also am partial to well written sci-fi (recently read and loved Ancilliary Justice), but also enjoy modern British ligher reads like the Rivers of London series.
I’m also partial to some world classics like Love in the Time of Cholera, Crime and Punishment, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest,

My music taste is fairly extensive - some of my current favourites include Dermot Kennedy, Rosalia, The Weeknd, Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic monkeys, everyone you know, but I also love classic rock bands like Queen, have enjoyed live jazz, and often enjoy a bit of classical music. I love any kind of live music, so I’m often down for seeing anything live!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw consequent sunset and sunrise... it was amazing for me
Metro party in paris;
Empty copa cabana beach
Halloween in New York;
DC couch crash, which I stumbled upon

Teach, Learn, Share

Always willing to share and learn. I'm good at board games, so could teach you some of those.
I've also recently found myself explaining UK politics to people, so if that's of interest, happy to provide context :D
