About Me

I am Ellie, currently a full-time student at Musashino University in Tokyo, Japan. I had experience working for UNIQLO JAPAN as an English assistant. If you would like to enhance your English skills, I could help with English conversations and even English-based essay writing styles since I have had obtained such skill in university (and other English standardized tests such as IELTS and TOEIC).

みんなさん、こんにちは。エリと申します。今武蔵野大学の二年生です。ユニクロで英語assistantしています。授業はすべて英語なので、日本語はまだ改善が必要です。でも日本語がんばります。よろしくお願いいたします。

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe Couchsurfing is one of the best opportunities for me to involve in cultural exchange activities as there will be opportunities to learn about the region's social and cultural perspectives from the locals.
I hope to meet new people and share with them about my experience in other countries (Singapore, Russia, Thailand, etc.) in general and Tokyo, Japan to be specific.

Music, Movies, and Books

❥ My favorite music: I enjoy almost every kind of music.
Currently in love with the Japanese artist アイミョン、星野 源 (恋)。

❥ Movie: The Parent Trap, Itazurana Kiss, How I met your Mother.

❥ Books: Totto-chan, the Little Girl at the Window (窓ぎわのトットちゃん)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things that I have ever been brave enough to do is to come to Japan with little Japanese skills and survived a quite long time here after many ups and downs.
One of the most memorable experience during the stay was interacting with many Japanese people at work, at school and even on the streets. I had even been invited to a Japanese family during the stay after just talking to them on the street. The people that I have met really help shape a part of who I am today and I am grateful to them all.

Teach, Learn, Share

❣ Teach: Cultural Vietnamese dishes, English (How to ace TOEIC for example haha just kidding. However, I actually did get a 910/990 for TOEIC L and R).

❣ Learn: How to enjoy life as a local, Japanese communication skills, Japanese manner.

❣ Share: Maybe something I brought from Tokyo (おみやげ)or anything else that you need from this part of the country (Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba). I will try to get them if possible if you let me know in advance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Your help for me will always be highly appreciated. Although as a student, I actually do not have much to offer. However, I would like to share with you some little gifts that I have brought from this part of Kanto (Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba).

In addition, if you could let me know in advance about the things that you need from Tokyo, I might be able to get you some. I can also share with you tips and every other little things related to English-learning process and TOEIC-related solutions.

I hope I could help you out as much as I could within my possibility. I hope we could have a good time together as hosts and guests.
