My name is Sara Elisabet or you can just call me Sara. A little bit about me; I speak both Spanish and English fluently along with a basic understanding of French.

I currently work in the pharmacy as a pharmacy technician and love my job. I’m really fascinated seeing how my industry looks like in other countries or anything medical related. I used to work as a paramedic but that was a very hard job for me, I find counting and compounding medication very rewarding and relaxing 😅! I work for over 11 different pharmacies in my region since I am specifically employed as a relief assistant when I am needed to fill an absence. Therefore I have the privilege to travel while I can. I have challenged myself to find the supplements I take here in Canada to their Japanese equivalency as I will be leaving them behind to get a new experience on what people take in Japan! 🇯🇵

If you're considering hosting me, I hope you won't be disappointed with your decision and I can assure you that you will have a self-reliant, friendly clean and compassionate guest in your home! I really love baths 🛀!

With my personal experience being a host, I will treat your home as I would expect guests to do the same for mine, tenfold. I'll always be respectful of your space and rules, and I love engaging in deep meaningful conversations if that suits your fancy, along with sharing a good laugh.

I'm a fan of spontaneity and open to a wide range of adventures. I prefer authentic local experiences, food and lifestyle. I don’t really have a major gravitation towards major tourist attractions and I enjoy visiting supermarkets and people watching haha! Would you like to show me how to make some traditional Japanese meals? I am a good assistant! Or we can spend sometime at your favourite restaurant! I love to try new foods! I prefer seafood and vegetables and I don’t really eat very much meat products (primarily pork/beef) it is truly due to my inability to comfortably digest such items 😅, I will try it regardless to make you happy! :)

現在は薬局で薬剤師として働いています。仕事が大好きで、他の国の医療業界や医療関連の情報に興味があります。以前は救急医療技師として働いていましたが、それは私にとって非常に厳しい仕事でした。薬の計量や混合がとてもやりがいがあり、リラックスできるんです（笑）。

私は地域内の11箇所以上の薬局で働いており、必要に応じて代行助手として働いています。そのため、旅行の特権を持っています。カナダで摂取しているサプリメントを日本のものに変えることに挑戦しています！🇯🇵

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To see more of the world and prove to my parents that the world isn’t so scary towards solo female travellers :)
To me, Couchsurfing is not just a means to find a place to stay; but an integral cultural exchange. I believe in the power of hospitality and the beauty of sharing/listening to stories from a local perspective. Hosting and being hosted have taught me the true essence of camaraderie and kindness. It's an opportunity to break down barriers and create a global community built on mutual respect and understanding. My only hope is to continue Couchsurfing's legacy from what was presented to me by past generations to the younger generations to come.

I don’t watch TV but I’m more into YouTube, TikTok and I love watching independent documentaries. I love anime and a big Studio Ghibli fan. I read as much as I can (not as much as I wish) and I love romance, manga, psychology research papers, and well, anything that makes me go "ohhhhhh" haha.

Travelled solo in China at 18, also my first time being alone, on a plane, and abroad!
