Hi! I'm a do-er, an oil painter (when I can), critic, traveler, pasta maker and compliance guru. I've moved about every year for the last 5 years. I'm trying to see as much of the world as possible. Just exploring, and trying to live a joyful life. I love culture and getting to know new people. Complete foodie, maybe kind of a hipster but I definitely was hipster before hipster was hipster. I write a blog, read a lot. I am the most happy when dancing. I'm interested in psychology, American politics, films/tv, positivity and acceptance. I love my dog (named Gryffindor, of course).

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music is American oldies, Motown, Reggae, singer-songwriters, 90's hip hop, country, dubstep, folk, Sublime, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, the Beatles, Smokey Robinson, Tracy Chapman, Skrillex, and Hyper Crush. But I like pretty much everything. Books: I read Pride and Prejudice every year and I'll probably love any memoir or historical/educational novel. Also, Bill Bryson. Fav movies are musicals (shout out for Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and The Unsinkable Molly Brown), rom coms, comedies, Robin Hood Men in Tights, Fools Rush In, Breakfast at Tiffany's. I also love tv - Big Bang Theory, Friends, Parks and Rec, Empire, Modern Family, and RuPaul's Drag Race.

I've been to every single book and movie opening for Harry Potter since the 3rd book. Does that count?
