Just moved to a new suburb in Melbourne & love exploring the area. Studying gemmology and I make also make wax cast and traditionally fabricated jewellery, as well as computer aided design for jewellery on Rhino. I work 40+ hours during the week, sometimes staying back late or working an extra day on a weekend if we have events. I also have study commitments and hobbies. I like to exercise recreationally, and I also am building community among myself and neighbours so I keep busy but I also need downtime to keep up the energy for all of that. I like to drink socially but don’t do nightclubs or festivals, I prefer eateries and cocktail bars, or a DIY drink at home or outside with a picnic. I don’t do drugs and I don’t want to be around people who do drugs. I’m friendly, caring, and conscientious. Good manners are very important to me, especially in the context of meeting up with new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on CS because I want to welcome people passing through Melbourne and give them a nice experience. I’ve struggled in the past and now have some stability and room to do this. I believe in giving what you can and try to uphold a value of mutual aid. I’m happy to offer small gestures but I am not on couch surfing to rescue people or absorb financial, emotional, or logistical issues for travellers. I also am not interested in sexual or romantic connections and I am not interested in deep, complex, emotional relationships or any kind of enmeshment with surfers. I prefer to meet up with or host travellers that have sufficient resources to take care of themselves and are on CS mainly for a cultural exchange and experience that will make them feel more comfortable in a foreign city while passing through. I can only host after meeting over a video call to see if we are a good fit and potentially need to see some evidence that you have a solid plan to move on. If that all sounds good to you we might be a great match.
