ABOUT ME

I'm always in search of new experiences, new scents, new tastes, new sensations, new things to read, to listen to, to participate in. Travelling is the best way I know how to experience this.

I enjoy studying, and have recently come home to Perth from a semester studying in Paris. I'm currently finishing off my thesis and looking to get back to France!

I love playing team sports, and can get very vocal when watching my team play! Live games of AFL are particular favourites. I have just recently got back into running - it's a great way to discover a new city!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this stage, I'm looking to surf couches where I can when travelling. I'm not in the position yet to have my own couch, so I'd like to see how others do it first. That way, when I have my own place, I'm able to offer my couch to surfers who want to come visit my home!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a few couchsurfing experiences now, around France and Germany. It has always been such a positive experience and I have loved getting to meet new people and see the city through their eyes.
When I'm not travelling, I like to try and meet travellers in my own city and show them around :)

First experience: I just surfed my first couch and it was such a fun experience!! I loved meeting Jérôme and Harold who were really friendly, and gave me lots of interesting advice about their city :) I'm looking forward to making new friends in new cities this way, and definitely trying the hosting side when i get the chance!

Interests

I love learning new languages, even just fun little phrases that may not have any use in practical life!

I love food! I love tasting new dishes :D I love the opportunity to cook [from a recipe] and especially to help out those who really know how to cook!

Reading is another passion of mine, and I enjoy taking part in a monthly book club at home.

MUSIC
I'm not the person to know what bands play which songs, or even the genre of music a certain song fits into.. I know that I love music, especially live music. Whether it's Drum and Bass, Electro, Opera, Country Western or a friends band rocking out in a small underground pub, I love the energy and passion behind the music. I love the creativity and can appreciate all types of sounds :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done in my lifetime is move to a new country, France, where i barely spoke the language. It was a huge challenge for me never having even lived out of my parents' home. Learning to manage a tight income, live out of home, meet new people and overcome my fears of being alone was difficult, but after 9 months I had totally embraced the experience and look forward to trying something similar again!
