Hello! We are Jen and Elliot, a young couple living in Eugene, OR. Jen graduated two years ago and has since been working as a technician on pollinator studies across the U.S.. Elliot is finishing his undergraduate degree and is hoping to find a position studying trees and carbon sequestration. We both love the outdoors, cooking, and are passionate about learning.

We are heading to Oahu on March 22 and will be there through April 2. We are interested in spending time outside of the tourist attractions of the island. We are especially interested in visiting the north shore of the island and other spaces between the coastlines!

CURRENT MISSION: To explore the north shore and hidden gems of Oahu and cram as much adventure into our trip as possible.

We are Couchsurfing to meet new people and experience areas of the island tourists may normally miss. We'd love to learn about your favorite hikes/trails/waterfalls/food destinations and go on adventures with you!

COUCH SURFING EXPERIENCES

Elliot used Couchsurfing on a trip to Europe and his experiences were 100% Positive. Every opportunity he accepted was absolutely amazing; It was a great way to meet new people and explore other cultures!

Elliot: I backpacked through Europe for 7 weeks after graduating from highschool!

Jen: I lived in Ecuador for four months and had the opportunity to study bees in the cloud forest!

Both Jen and I are hoping our experience on Oahu gives us an opportunity to see what island life is actually like, rather than spending time at a resort. We are interested in learning about the thriving traditions on the island and even learning some of the native Hawaiian language.
