Overview
About Me
For the last year I have decided to expand on my travels and meeting new people. I have been WWOOFing since September in France and the UK and now I am looking to try something different before wrapping up this stage of traveling.
I am a social person, enjoying the conversations that can be had between two people who have just met. I enjoy movies, writing, good beer, trying new things, cooking, playing games, and learning about people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing offers a different benefit to the travel compared to hosteling as it helps insert the traveler into the culture of the city. When hosteling, the hostels create their own culture most of the time, but couchsurfing is slightly more intimate to the city.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have recently been listening primarily to 70s and 80s rock, but I enjoy most forms of music in some way.
My favorite movies include: Breakfast Club and Shawshank Redemption. But as a cinephile I like seeing as many movies as I can.
Books: I generally stay in the science fiction and fantasy categories, but good writing is not restricted to those categories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For the month of December I was able to be an assistant brewer while in the south of France. It was an amazing experience because I was able to brew 4 beers that month with no previous experience in doing so.
I also jumped off a bridge once.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a sociable person, always willing to share in conversation. Helpful in the kitchen and willing to assist with tidying.
I try to maintain a diverse knowledge of information to fuel debates and conversation on all topics, but I keep a learners mentality to pick up more.
