Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find that some of the nicest people are those that are just here to make connections and not the money, I like to give back where i can and make any experience with a host/guest a special one.

I've been rock climbing for the past few months and really enjoying that, tried surfing for the first time the other day and will definitely have a go again, and reading a hell of a lot too!

Music, Movies, and Books

Grungey stuff, alice in chains, nirvana etc. Blues and jazz is pretty cool. And 90's rap is just amazing. Read a few game of thrones books and an assortment of other random stuff over the course of the trip. Tend to lean to the post apocalyptic stuff recently. Not a huge movie nerd, but i love the all time greats, shawshank redemption and the like. There's a film i found on Netflix called Blue Ruin. That was surprisingly good and found a place in my heart.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak a little spanish, cook a little food, do a little dancing (not well at all, but that's part of the fun). I was an English teacher for a year in Barcelona, if you want help/practice then I can assist in that. I have also been a chef for a year so would enjoy cooking food for any host/guest I'm with.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you sing, i can be your backing singer that has had no lessons apart from shower singing. If you play an instrument I'll drum along. If you want someone to practice spanish with then I'm your guy. If you want someone to criticise your outfit then i can do that too i guess. And if you have a car problem i can take a look at that too, I'm not mechanic by any means but know my way around a toolbox. I always try to be as respectful as possible in peoples' homes.
