I'm Yuqiang (Elliot), a mixed Chinese & Korean adventurer with a passion for exploring the world and connecting with its diverse cultures.

Based in Heidelberg, a small city near Frankfurt, I've been studying and working in Germany for 2 years, and my journey has taken me from China to Korea, Japan, and across Europe. Having experienced the rich tapestry of countries like France, Switzerland, Poland, and Austria, I've developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of cultural diversity.

While I'm new to the Couchsurfing community, I've been familiar with the concept since 2018. Over the past 5 years, I've embraced the spirit of work-for-accommodation, couch surfing, and volunteer travel through more than 10 experiences. I've been an active workawayer, cherishing this concept dearly. It has enriched my life by allowing me to learn, connect, and exchange cultures with incredible people. I'm excited to give back by becoming a host soon and extending the same warm hospitality to others.

I had worked as a Film Director & Editor at the TOYO International Film Festival 2021 in Japan. My responsibilities included providing English interpretation for scripts, directing actors from diverse cultural backgrounds, equipment management, collaborating with fellow editors to produce the final version of the film, and maintaining effective communication with festival organizers. And our short film was selected for exhibition in the festival.

If you're into taking cool photos and videos with your phone, I can help with that too. And if you're curious about making videos using certain computer programs, I've got you covered.
