Hi!

I am a young, creative outdoor enthusiast from The beautifully rainy city of Portland, Oregon! I am an industrial designer and I own a small leather goods and accessories company called Bless (Blesshandcraftedgoods.com). In the Winter I coach a high school snowboard team and in the summer I spend most of my free time hiking and camping! I am extremely friendly and love meeting new people! I am fascinated by learning about and experiencing new cultures from around the world and take any opportunity I can to travel!

I have a pretty broad taste in music but to narrow it down to a few genres, I would say folk, indie, and electronic are my top three. I'm especially fond of good house music. Besides that, Pink Floyd is definitely my favorite band!

My favorite movies include The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The Lives of Others, Pulp Fiction, and Vanilla Sky.

My recent reading has included works by Howard Zinn, Carl Jung, and currently Malcolm Gladwell!

In the Spring of 2015 I was chosen by the Swedish company Fjällräven to represent America on the 2015 Polar Expedition. Polar is a 300 Kilometer dogsledding expedition across the Scandinavian arctic tundra in which 20 participants from around the world dogsled from the northern tip of Norway to the northern tip of Sweden.

Polar was an incredible experience and one I will never forget. It introduced me to new people and cultures and sparked international friendships that will last a lifetime!

I love to cook and would love to create fun and exciting meals with hosts! I am also a skilled leather craftsman and could teach hosts how to handcraft a leather wallet! (If interested let me know, as this should be arranged in advance!) Additionally, I am simply an extremely friendly and energetic person and would certainly bring a great attitude to any home!
