I am traveling the world with my wife on what we have dubbed our "radical sabbatical". We worked hard for the last four years and saved up to take a trip around the world!

I am an outdoor guy, who loves mountain biking, hiking and camping. I have completed both the Pacific Crest Trail (2014) and the Arizona Trail (2019) and look forward to more long distance treks in the future.

I would also say I am a "people person". I enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories and getting a glimpse of their perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing was recommended to me by a friend recently specifically for this trip as a way to meet local people in the places we visit. Actual connection with people who want to get out and do things is what I'm after!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I listen to electronic music, house, downtempo, lofi. I love folk music, rock, and hip hop. A little of everything!
Movies - Documentaries, Dramas, and Comedies. But I want things to make sense and be believable (even if it's science fiction).
Books - Cormac McCarthy and John Steinbeck are my favorite authors, I love reading books about or set in places I'm traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked 2,650 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail, from Mexico to Canada across the western United States.
