About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To give to and to take from the world

ABOUT ME

If everything, good or bad, is a learning experience, and if once you stop learning you might as well die, it's safe to say that life itself is one big, never-ending lesson.

I'm fascinated by human potential and discovering my own to see where I fit in in relation to everyone else.

The one danger of labeling yourself anything is that it creates a vicious cycle of blind acceptance. So I try not to label myself anything and just be.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

The more time that passes and the more I experience, the more I find my principles to line up with Buddhism. Not sure if childhood influences are the reason (parents are Buddhist), or if it's all just one big coincidence that my philosophy agrees with Buddhist ones. I also believe in manufactured fate.

Not so much a believer in formalities because it's only an unnecessary obstacle to oneness.

The quicker people realize that they know nothing, the better.

Music, Movies, and Books

My (undiagnosed) ADD prevents me from enjoying books as much as I'd like to, so I prefer music. From Ratatat, Lil Wayne, and The Killers to The Silversun Pickups, Mike Posner, and Matisyahu. Anything that causes heart rate fluctuation or endorphin release is loved by my ears and soul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crossed the street during rush hour in Ho Chi Minh City, scuba-dived in the Great Barrier Reef, spent 28 hours straight hiking in the Gorgany Mountains in Ukraine, completed the 2012 Prague Marathon, led an Alzheimer's-stricken elderly lady successfully back to her apartment, beat Tetris on the arcade (yes, it's possible), took an amazing 5-hour cooking class with the most amazing woman ever and midnight swimming in India, and more to come..

Teach, Learn, Share

No matter where you go in the world, shelter (and a potentially amazing experience) is only a CouchSurfer away. <--- future CS motto
