Overview
About Me
People fascinate me and I love getting to know others to see what makes them tick. It broadens my worldview and keeps things in perspective.
I think that as much as we all have the need for connection, too many of us are frightened by the idea of actually extending a helpful, friendly hand to others. We get bogged down by the divisiveness of race, nationality and creed.
I'm an avid sport climber and enjoy practicing/teaching yoga. I also coach youth in rock climbing 🙂
I get around the city by bike year round. My neighbourhood abuts some lovely green space where I can cycle, blade or take off my socks and shoes to dip my feet in the Don River.
I’m self-employed so can often adjust my schedule to accommodate guests. I’m super excited to be returning to school in September to become a somatic therapist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've experienced the generosity of people when I've travelled and would like to pay things forward. And what a great way to make new friends!
Interests
Pretty much anything that gets me outdoors! Climbing, cycling, gardening (though I only have a balcony for that) and hiking. There's nothing better than sitting on a sunny boulevard enjoying a cool drink with friends after a day of being in nature.
I have a voracious appetite for learning, everything from movement, metaphysics, spirituality, meditation, holistic nutrition and cooking.
I can't remember the last time I went clubbing - not my thing. I would much rather do something active or hang with friends at home or in someone's backyard.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm quiet, clean and polite. I'm happy to pull my weight and will leave your home looking as good (or better!) than it did on my arrival.
If you have the time and inclination, I'd love to cook and share a meal or two with you. There's nothing like breaking bread together to form a friendship.
Countries I’ve Visited
