About Me

I love to travel. This is my life. In 2016 I visited 5 countries and 10 states. I began 2017 away from home so the ball is already rolling! I'm kind of the crazy dog lady. There are 3 at home, 1 is my service dog who usually travels with me. I love the outdoors, good books, real food, real people, and tropical climates. Dancing is my bread and butter as well as my creative passion. Playing with fire has been a staple in my life for 8 years. Only YOU can prevent forest fires. I have no patience for racism, sexism, ableism, or homophobia. If you have an issue with any of these categories, please do not offer to host me. I'm clean, quiet, and used to being in other people's spaces.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to live in the country and I had space to offer couch surfers. Hopefully this will be the case again in the future, but for now, it's nice to have this back up option when traveling. Some remote places don't have air bnb or hostels and some places are simply unaffordable. This is a nice second choice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most wonderful experience I have ever had was working at a summer camp for kids with disabilities. You would find anything from blind, deaf, spina bifida, cerebal palsey, mental retardation, autism, mute, down syndrome, etc. These kids were SO much fun! This was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. Before I found Forestry I was in school for Special Education, and I still may go back to it some day. We can learn so much from children of all kinds..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach American Sign Language, cooking and baking, how to visit a place like a local, anything related to dance, sewing skills, and much more. I like to learn everything!
