ABOUT ME

I love laughing and I can talk to anybody for hours about anything. I am also a good listener I love meeting new people and sharing knowledge, views and experiences with them and of course drinking copious amounts of wine with them!
I have realised through moving to a different country and meeting people from all over the world that despite the differences in culture, age, gender, etc. we are all people that can learn valuable lessons from each other.

In short I am somehow a hilarious combination of crazy cat lady, serial tea-drinker, wine connoisseur, football hooligan, politician, midwife-in-the-making and sparkly rainbow princess.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm renting a room in a friend's house so unfortunately probably can't host right now but I would love to meet up for coffee or a beer and to venture around the city.
Hopefully over the next year I will have the time and funds to do some surfing of my own too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still quite new to couchsurfing and so far I have only hosted people and met others at CS meetings and parties etc. Everyone I have met has been so different but I have really enjoyed spending time with and getting to know my new CS friends! I hope I will make many more in the future.

Any music that makes me want to groove on down. I guess my mood dictates the kind of music I like to listen to; I will listen to everything from Madonna to Johnny Cash to Metallica. Amanda Fucking Palmer is my absolute hero.
My favourite films are Into the Wild and Cruel Intentions.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

When I was 18 I decided to move to Athens to be closer to my family and to get to know that part of my family and heritage. I had the most incredible 15 months there before I had to move back to rainy England. I learnt so much and wouldn't change it for the world.
The most amazing and different place that I've ever been to was Beijing. I spent 3 weeks there and saw amazing things every day and would love to go back and see MORE!
Probably one of the most amazing experiences of my life so far was being the birth partner of my aunt when she had her first son and seeing him take his first breath.

I am always happy to help people with their English as that's the only thing I really know how to do! I also come out with random interesting facts that might come in handy one day ;)
I am not very good with languages but I always like to learn the basic phrases (and of course the rude words!)
