Overview
About Me
We are two travelling kiwis who have taken the year off and are looking for new experiences and possibly a new home on our travels.
I (Ellyse) just finished my graduate studies in Geology (active tectonics) last year with a strong desire to take a break from it all so I took the year off. This gave me the chance to embrace my favourite thing... travelling, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I grew up in lil country called New Zealand, and I got to enjoy many of the incredible sights and beautiful nature. My family instilled in me a sense of adventure and a drive to explore which has led me to the beauty of travel. This included living in Copenhagen, Denmark for 6 months where I was lucky enough to complete my undergraduate studies.
I (Tim) am an earth scientist with qualifications in geology and natural hazard management. I love visiting the amazing places our big wide world has to offer, our current travels up through South America have been fantastic and I can't wait to see and experience the US and Canada.
So here we are embracing what life has to show us and learning a hell of a lot along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because clearly the best way of meeting new people and making friends is sharing a meal and a home. We'd love to make awesome connections and of course travel affordably.... finishing 5 years of straight study with minimal work leaves the bank account rather slim.
