ABOUT ME

How other people have described me:
"You're pretty much the most level-headed guy I've met here" ("here" was Goa - so pretty easy to be level-headed compared to a bunch of agein hippies...)
"You're a little weird sometimes, but you say what you mean, and you do what you say, and you're always there to help a friend, and that's why you're my friend" (former roomate in India, a long time ago - I'd like to think I've improved on the weird part, in a good way, but still proud of that one)
"Fuck, is there anything you're not good at?" (My boss, after hearing my play piano at a party - and yes, there's plenty of things I fail at...)

Things I enjoy:
- Outdoor stuff like hiking or bike tours
- Nerdy stuff like board games, or visiting museums or exhibitions
- Good food, either home-cooked or trying new restaurants

Things I don't enjoy:
-Not a party person - would rather swap stories over some beer or wine at home than go to clubs or loud bars.
- Not religious, not into cars, not into watching sports - it's fine if you are, just won't be a shared interest

PHILOSOPHY

Education is what you get from reading the fine print. Experience is what you get from not reading it.

If it was easy, it would be boring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

India.
Lived there for 6 months doing an internship. Living in a so totally different country is just amazing.

Can teach: Bavarian dialect. All things technology. Backpacking tips.

Looking to learn: Interested in pretty much anything, surprise me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to help out with planning trips or local insider knowledge.
Not so happy if people arrive with an attitude of "I didn't bother to learn anything about this place, or don't really know what I want, now entertain me".
