About Me

From a ten islands archipelago localized in the west coast of Africa, Cape Vert, I grew my whole life in this small comfy country, in the island of São Vicente, to then leave in it behind on 18, and set foot on the world in the journey of my education. I would describe myself as a simple person, that tries to make most of the moment and grew as a person, as often I'm caught thinking in "The things of life" and that's my philosophy lover part for you.

I like to try new experiences, new adventures, new feelings, as I try to always make many different activities and shake the routine. With that, of course, get to know new persons, from different parts of the world and learn of their different thoughts, ways of life, tell them mine, to know that even half the world away there are semblances. Recently started to discover a new feeling, some months, the sharing of a love bond. And it is actually this person who got me here to Couchsurfing, my girlfriend Kika (Francisca Gonçalves).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I grew up in a small country and lived there for 18 years, grew up in me an eager to see the world. And when I left to Portugal to study, it was one of the most amazing and inexplicable feeling that I ever felt. That feeling just kept growing as I explore the country, visiting cities and camping in nature, and know I want more than ever know what's there out in the world. As a student yet, living on my own in a foreign country, I can't afford expensive travels, so Couchsurfing offers the opportunity to keep chasing this feeling of mine even due to financial restrictions. And the better part is that during the process I get to do one of the reasons I travel, that is meet people from all over the world and get to know them and their vision of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very fond of music, as I included in almost every activity I do(even in class sometimes sneaking the teacher hahaha). I listen to almost every gender, although I'm more fond of R&B, Rap, and Chillstep. But above all them is the traditional music from my homeland Cabo Verde: Serenata, Coladera, Batuk, Kizomba,.. that I would very much like to present to the world how good it is, as we have one famous international artist that is The Diva of the bare feet Cesaria Evôra.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me... leave my homeland to continue studies in Portugal. As much I was eager and wanted to know the world, it was still hard for me to leave family and friends with who I lived for 18 years behind. And all the work I put on the last to years to earn a scholarship(which made possible to go to Portugal) and working to earn money was rewarding. It was very difficult and exhausting for two years. But I did it and is one of the most things if not the most thing I'm proud of had accomplished. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Very very very few people know the existence of Cape Vert. The few that know him had fallen in love. So wh«ith me you get to know some of that small hidden cozy country of mine in the Atlantic ocean, the language Crioulo that is our mother language(exclusive of Cape Vert), which I would describe it as a language of freedom, the places, the nature as we are a country of the third world there is still more natural than man technology, the traditions, the traditional culinary, and so many other things that will make you definitely put Cape Vert on the destinations list. ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories from my childhood as I grew up in Cape Vert. Believe me, you will laugh and tell your friends about "....this guy with the craziest fun child stories man ...".
Conversations about everything, since the philosophical nature of the human being to "Marvel movies are better than DC's, don't argue with that!" kkkkk.

And above all, I can offer a friendship. :)
