Current mission, let me see... Mission is a funny word... I try to keep my friends happy? Does that qualify as a mission?

ABOUT ME

I'm 37 yo, French and in a relationship with a 33 yo French-Cambodian.

My favorite activity had always been to get my backpack on and take off. The destinations have been mostly been in Asia where I travelled on my own for many years. Now my partner and I form a happy backpackers duet!

We don't smoke, don't drink like fish but enjoy a nice cold beer and a good old chat. We are very tidy and respectful which is of major importance when you stay with people.
Oh and we tend to walk quite a lot!

We are looking for hosts willing to share their love of their country/city. To me, it is so much more interesting to follow someone to the market or share a family dinner than to visit a museum!
It's also what I try to show my foreign friends when they come to France.

What's more, I'm always eager to learn new languages and discover new food.

PHILOSOPHY

Being smart is not a flaw, being snooty is.
If I travel one country per year for the rest of my life, I won't have time to see the whole world. Does someone have a solution to my problem?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm really new to the concept. I've seen a documentary about it on TV and thought the idea was great. I'm planning on doing my best to participate by showing people around Paris at first and then probably offer my couch.

I pretty much love anything that has to do with art: music, photography, video, sculpture, calligraphy, design, architecture etc... I spend my life learning new things (like everybody else!) and I'm always curious for more. Show me your talent (as long as it's not eating 100 hamburgers in less than 3 minutes), explain to me how you live and I will be happy.
