ABOUT ME

Hola, I'm Dotan. I'm moving back to Israel after 3 years in the cold north, Montreal. I'm an animator, illustrator and a graphic designer and currently working on a short film.

I enjoy watching films and reading. Appreciate a good chill outside in parks and cafés and love any kind of beach and exploring places on bike.

When I travel I don't like to have plans but to take long leisure walks and see where it leads me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had several couch surfers at my place in Jerusalem, but they all came through my ex-flatmate Roni (in my friends list).

Film: Almodovar, Trash, silly American 80's comedies, Iranian and Turkish cinema, old fashion Animation, independent cinema of all kinds, Experimental.

Books: classic American (Purdy, McCullers, Carver), Israeli (Grossman, Berdugo); Gogol, Kafka, de Maupassant, Knut Hamsun, Tove Jansson, Mishima.

Music: Classical Arabic music, Andalouse, Spanish, Sahara. Some classic and new American folk. Turkish, Kurdish, to name a few that come up my mind now.
