About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm an idealist, an activist, often a bit wacky, and a student at Swarthmore college. I'm studying Peace and Conflict, Political Science, and everything else I can fit into the day. I'm generally easy going, and it takes a lot to upset me. That said, there's almost nothing I love more than an in-depth discussion of politics, philosophy, sociology, literature, or anything else people around me seem excited about.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't know that I've quite developed a personal philosophy... there are a few things I believe, but honestly I shy away from the calcification that can come hand in hand with believing anything absolutely. I do know a few things I value highly, and that I don't think will fall out of favor with me any time soon: I care about excellent education (define that how you will), social equality (again fairly broad, but I don't think America is anywhere near being as egalitarian as we can or should be), free inquiry, the ability of a people to advocate for its rights, and the preservation of the natural world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I traveled through France in summer '10 with some friends, and we couchsurfed some then. I had a great experience, and will definitely be exploring more!
