Cuz it's awesome. A better question is, why was I not on Couchsurfing? I have no idea, I must have been sleeping or living underneath a big rock. I think it is a really cool way to travel around and get to know locals. I have no experience with Couchsurfing yet, but I heared good stories of some friends who surf on couches every once in a while.
