About Me

Hello everybody !

I'm Elsa, 29, born and raised in Orléans !
I'm from a portuguese family and go to Portugal, in the Porto area, at least once in a year. I've lived in Japan where I've spent one year as an exchange student and really enjoyed my life there !
I'm currently working as an assistant for 2 non-profit organizations promoting social economy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to meet up with people who want to visit Orléans and help them, if needed.

As a travel lover myself, I hope To find somebody here to help me as well when visiting other cities or countries :-)

Interests

I love music and cinema, for which I have a blog where I post my reviews (film, music album & live reviews mainly).
I also enjoy cooking, especially pastries ;-)
I love traveling. Visiting new places is always an enriching experience, whether it is a big city or a natural, preserved place.
I also enjoy a good time, hanging around with friends and being able to meet people. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like various kinds of music and quite open minded when it comes to discover new artists (eventhough, I may have a hard time when it comes to genres as electro, french hip hop and french RnB).
I love movies, and if I had to choose, I'd say Edward Scissorhands is probably one of my favourite movies of all time. :-)
I also love reading, especially Haruki Murakami's books (Kafka on the Shore and Sputnik sweetheart)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eventhough that might appear somehow quite common, this is also probably one's life experience I'll never forget, but I'd say living one year as an exchange student in Utsunomiya, Japan. I've met sevral people there, coming from several countries, but also enjoyed a different kind of living and different culture. It was one of the best year of my life !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give to english, portuguese and japanese speakers basic french lessons.
I can also organise themes-tours around the city or its enlarged area (we have some nice natural sights and castles around here), mostly on weekends.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unfortunately, for now, I can't share my home as I'm myself being hosted ;-)
But I hope I'll be able to share my own place sometime soon !
In the meantime, I'd love to meet up, organise tours in Orléans and its area, and/or share my knowledge about places I've visited so far (I can give you some goods advices if you want to visit Orléans, Porto or Tokyo ;-) )
