About Me

Well, on my adventure trough Canada for the summer of 2015! So i can't accept people at my place while i am away from the lovely Gouda! (no it is not with a soft g as you englisch speakers prannounce it, the g is more like GGGGHHHHHouda, just so you know, one of my life goals to learn people that) I came here for an exchange semester and going to travel after my school is done. I am travaling from the west coast (Vancouvs) to Montreal. Planning to travel with the Greyhound bus to see as much as is possible. And stopping on my way to the east coast. I was a chef at the netherlands as a parttime job. LOVE to eat strange foods, And got a new addiction to poutine since i have been living in Vancouver. Always in to try new foods from places i visit. I am also a anologue photographer. So after my trip, you can see my pictures i take on the road, and planning on to make some portraits of the people where i stay. Uhm, well, i am pretty happy on myself, but also a social butterfly, depends on my energy and state i am in; after a 10 hour drive, and i forgot to buy food, living on a wunderbar bar and 2 liters of water, sitting next to a guy who snorred the entire bus ride and no possible way to pass that tremendous beer belly to pee, i will be verry quite and just want to sleep. But if i am fully charged i am, yeah, more capable of talking then the previous senario. I am a flexible person

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am trying to keep my travaling as low cost as is possible. Thats one of my mean reasons. Also, i think i will enjoy my travaling more when i meet local people. Who can advise me or tell me stories about the history. It is totaly different when your staying at a hostel, with also travellers unknown to the city, as when your staying with someone who lived in their city for a longer period of their lives. I am not the touristy traveller, who wants to go to the places that everyone goes, i am also verry happy to go to a shady restaurant where they serve amazing poutine and nobody knows about it!

Interests

Art (history), photography, reading books, hiking and walking, exploring the backroads, wandering though a city and getting lost, thrift shopping (YAY), playing at the arcade, making food, drinking tea, kajakking, love to go fishing somewhere, pick nick, skyping home, cause sometimes i do miss my friends, a hot shower after a cold day.
