ABOUT ME

My name is Elsa, I am a laid back, easy going, fun loving, banjo playing, gal. I love meeting new people, exploring, eating/cooking delicious food, going out for drinks, dancing, and traveling! I also love all animals so I like to stay with surfers who have pets!

I love traveling and learning about other parts of the world. I've met the most amazing people(on the inside & out during my travels. I wish that people could for a moment realize that we are ALL global citizens. I just recently graduated from Global College which is a 3 1/2 year study abroad undergrad program (but based in Brooklyn NY). Last fall I conducted research for my thesis in Tanzania, while working with a nonprofit and women's empowerment group. Lived in NYC to write my thesis about my Tanzanian research!

I lived on a 300 acre educational farm where I taught kids all about organic food (and took care of over 300 animals!)

Currently live in Amsterdam as an Au Pair for family friends.

Possibly nothing is better than good conversation over a cold beer!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed in San Francisco and Thailand and had such wonderful experiences both times. People are amazingly hospitable, trusting, and kind. That's why I love couchsurfing!

Currently, living in Amsterdam as an Au Pair and unable to host, but would LOVE to meet with other hosts/travelers for tea/coffee/beer!
