ABOUT ME

Bonjour, Je connais un peu le français, mais j'ai oublié l'orthographe donc j'ai dû utiliser un dictionnaire sur internet. Je sais assez de français pour s'en sortir, mais je n'ai pas beaucoup d'occasions de pratiquer. J'ai pris français à l'école secondaire pendant 5 ans, mais ont oublié beaucoup. Vous êtes les bienvenus chez moi et je ferai de mon mieux.

I am a total hippie at heart.

I know a little sign language and could communicate well enough to help you get around Lincoln.
I would much rather be hanging out outdoors when the weather is nice.
Random happenstance is perhaps one of my favorite things about life. I have quite a few varying interests. I play guitar, do photography, and love art projects. I am often involved in one activity or another whether it's crocheting scarves, painting, making jewelry, drawing, etc...
I am almost always up for a mini adventure. I love running through sprinklers, fountains, and splashing in puddles. My favorite places in Lincoln are Pioneers Park and the Sunken Gardens (which I live near).
I would be happy to point you in the direction of a potential adventure, or join you for one.
I love cooking and would love to make you dinner if you are joining me at a reasonable hour.
I live very close to downtown, a grocery store, a few parks, and the zoo.
I may be doing homework or preparing for work the next day, but I will always try to be a great host and will work towards being as accommodating as possible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to offer my couch to get to know new folks. I have had many friends come through for me when I needed them most, and sometimes even strangers.
I have helped be 'host-like' at a friend's house and have met about 4 different couch surfers through the site. I have played tour-guide to a few and offered suggestions for places to visit in Lincoln. Unofficially, I have hosted many people on my couch over the years.
My apartment is often very cozy with plenty of blankets, candles, and pillows. I often have incense burning, but am happy not to if you are sensitive to the smoke. My house usually smells like pumpkin, vanilla, sandalwood, and nag champa.
I have internet access and you are welcome to hop online. One of my favorite things to do is hear music recommendations, so if you are willing to share suggestions - please do!
