ABOUT ME

I studied turkish studies. But my passion for history and politics where not satisfied because its a philological subject and word pursiuts are nothing for me.
Thus I started doing interships at newspapers, magazines and publishing grougs and freelance writing.
Next year I will work in advertisement, as a copywriter still hoping to snatch an apprenticeship training position at the best journalism school in Germany.

+++ IMPORTANT +++ IMPORTANT +++ IMPORTANT +++

I know that Berlin is soo cool and soo cheap and the plaece to be, but my flat is not a hostel.

I just host people who make an effort to read my profile!

I do NOT host people who don't even beginn a request with my name, because its easier to copy-paste it without

PHILOSOPHY

"Illusion is the first of all pleasures."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surprisingly, I'm participating on CouchSurfing because I love to travel ;)
I guess I sucked in this roamer-soul with my mother's milk. My parents were flower people and traveled all over Asia before me and my brother were born. So I grew up in a flat full with stuff all over the world.
After finishing school I went to Shanghai for a year to work as a nanny. After living there I grew independent and adventuresome enough to decide to treval back to Europe overland with my best friend.
At this time we joined CS and created a account for the two of us. I learned about the importance of hospitality.

For me CS is NOT just accommodation that is free of charge. For me CS is about meeting people who want to share their culture and life. Who enjoy telling you something about their city, their country. So if you send me a request please put the word BOLG somewhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It always was a great up to an unforgettable experience.
I really become friends with some couchsurfers.
I'm Couchsurfing since 2009 and the worse thing that happend to me was a really overprotectiv Turkish guy who wanted to show us Turkish hospitality by serving us breackfast while our airplane ceck-in was starting alrealy.

The best experience was a proforma wedding invitation by a host 2 years after we surfed his place in Konya/Turkey.
He wrote "it's a pitty that you will not be there" and we booked a flight and crushed his wedding!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I love it! I played piano for 11 years till I reached the terrible, lazy and indifferent age of puberty. That's why I enjoy classical music a lot, in particular Chopin, Schumann,Schubert,Brahms and Gustav Mahler, and Debussy. Notwithstanding im living in Berlin, where it's quite hard to resist the electronical beats. I also like Indie, Blues and Jazz.
Perhaps it's easier to say what I do not like: first thing that pops up in my mind: MODERN TALKING!!!

Books:
I'm obsessed with all kind of stories: printed, narrated and performed.
But books are the easiest way to carry them with me. I read everything. Just to name a few of my favorite authors: Milan Kundera, Dostojewski, T.C. Boyle. I love the short stories written by Judith Hermann and Bernhard Schlink and above all poetry of R.M. Rilke, H. Hesse and Else Lasker-Schüler.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a city girl. So its always a breathtaking event being out in nature with animals. 2009 I went riding in Kyrgyzstan on a high plateau and even if I didn't know how to ride before within 30min. I came along with my horse pretty well. So we were galloping though the grassland right below the sky for hours. And the unique nature, the speed, the warm body of this horse, which followed my will and the feeling of absolute freedom made this day unforgettable.
