About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Let sincere pursuits of happiness guide my life events
ABOUT ME
I have recently graduated with my Masters degree in Environmental Science, Policy and Management. That being said, I love and indulge in many sectors of Science ( a preference of Marine Science and Geology) and enjoy being outside. Soccer is my favorite sport to play, hockey is fun to watch and baseball is just boring. Cooking is something I enjoy and find myself doing often- I've always been my grandma's little sous chef. Raised on the Gulf coast of Florida, I grew up with beautiful beaches on the west and forests and swamps on the east.
Some personality traits: I'm an orange juice, mimosa and mulled wine kind of person. When I was in my undergraduate, I rescued my neighbor's tarantula from the exterminator and ended up becoming her mom (she is a Chilean rose hair) so needless to say, spiders don't bother me.
But either as a host or guest, exploring is always an option and good conversations are always admired.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately I haven't been able to host much in the past years, however, when I do host, I love welcoming people in to my home and showing guests unique parts of the city (food, music, history, etc.) that would otherwise be missed.
As a guest, I understand cultural differences and living situations vary so I try to practice the best manners I can. I appreciate and practice a minimalistic lifestyle but I do enjoy ballin out every now and then.
Whichever end I fall on, I like to think I bring an encounter for the books.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience, as a guest, was during a road trip from Florida to Oregon, ever since then it has been one of my favorite things about traveling. I know that there is a spectrum of participants in the CS community which span from people simply looking for a free place to crash to travelers which genuinely desire a local experience, I find that both are valid and the most important is the practice of manners and respect.
Interests
I'm currently in a state of growing, and re-evaluating what makes me, me.
But things that I think still hold true, are my interest in soccer ( I grew up playing defender) and my love of dogs. I find particular interest in learning weird facts about animals, marine animals mostly. Whenever I'm home I think one of my favorite things is kayaking and riding my bike. When I travel I try to learn how to greet and say "cheers" as part of my experience.
