ABOUT ME

Hello! I grew up in Minneapolis and recently moved back. Maybe I'm crazy for moving to the tundra in the winter but it's great to be with family. I am a runner, and a vegetarian, and I enjoy traveling (duh, everyone on Couchsurfing likes travel! ;) ). I spent the summer living on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, but otherwise lived in NYC the last four years.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the power of positivity. I believe people have bad days but are mostly good, and that a kind word or action can make a big difference. I know that every action has a ripple effect. You can be a highlight in someone's day or a challenge and since every situation has a downside and an upside I choose to focus on the positive.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living at home right now I don't have space to host guests but I'm happy to be a tour guide and explore this city together! I still keep in touch with the couchsurfers I met in Costa Rica and I would love to do the same here!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used couchsurfing for the first time when I studied abroad in Spain, and met so many interesting, warm, gracious, generous people! Everyone has been so great about introducing me (and friends when I've traveled with others) to their city and it's so much more fun to get an insider's view of a place.

In general I like chick lit books, and mystery novels. Stephanie Plum is my favorite series. Gone Girl was also amazing! Next up is Not That Kind Of Girl and Where'd You Go Bernadette. :)

John Mayer is my favorite musician. Not my favorite person, but musician. :)

I saw a shooting star for the first time in 2009, and it was truly amazing! Also, I saw Zac Efron, even touched him! On my birthday. THAT was special. :) Sorry if you think that's lame! :p
