About Me

I was raised by Waldorf teachers who instilled in me a respect for the Earth and for my body. I've been vegetarian my whole life, although recently I've been eating some sustainable fish.
Food is a big part of my life. I love to cook, eat, and share meals with friends and family. I've been professionally involved in the food industry my entire adult life in various forms, from bakeries to cafes to catering and vending businesses. Most recently I helped to start a company called Activation Foods, in which we mainly produced Sauerkraut and other organic fermented products.
For the past 10 years or so my life has revolved around the summer festival circuit on the West Coast. I've worked for a few operations selling organic vegan food, Acai bowls, and most recently (and currently) I help manage a mobile bath house called the Oasis. We set up a beautiful spa environment and keep people clean!
I'm passionate about minimizing my impact on the planet and raising people's awareness about the bigger picture. I think it's really important to be aware of how your actions affect the planet and other people, while also maintaining a high quality lifestyle that is nourishing and fun.
I love to travel and have done so every year for over 10 years. I love broadening my perspective on life and interacting with people from all different walks of life.
I love to have fun and dance, be with friends, snuggle and sleep. I love to stay active and keep my body healthy with good food, rest and exercise, including a yoga practice that has been deepening recently. Life is beautiful!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet people from all different walks of life. The sterility of hotels doesn't excite me and it's always more interesting to engage with a new place with an inside scoop that can come with a good couchsurfing experience.
I don't have the best space to host people in right now (I live on my bus) but in the future I plan on hosting people and sharing my knowledge of whatever place I finally settle down in.
In the meantime, I'd love to meet awesome people wherever I go and help to balance the view of how Americans are ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I produce an incredible camp at Burning Man every year called Heart Tribe. Not only has this experience deepened hundreds of people's Burns, it has created a community centered in the Bay Area that is constantly nourishing and celebrating each other. We have gatherings and cuddle parties, and at shows there is always a dance pod of Heart Tribers who love to get squishy on the dance floor.
Heart Tribe has been one of the most nourishing things in my life in the past few years.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always down to share my knowledge of nutrition & permaculture, share travel stories and experiences, and learn from what others have soaked up in this life. We are all here to expand each other's realities, so let's always be open to exchanging tidbits of wisdom!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will always leave a place better than I found it. I travel a lot and stay with friends all the time, and I am considered by most to be their favorite house guest! I'm very conscious of my impact energetically and physically and I strive to be a positive one. I'm always looking for ways to brighten a space, sometimes cleaning or organizing if desired, and always striving to be a good influence on people and absorb the goodness that everyone has to share.
