About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make art from trash
ABOUT ME
I like things that have been scuffed, burned, mutilated, or run over, so I pick up all kinds of interesting stuff on my walks. Eventually it will all find a place in my art. You should see my house - it's the Museum of Trash Art. I participate in lots of art exhibits (Hawaii, Mainland USA, and Europe) and my work is in private collections around the world.
My husband is a psychiatrist, semi-retired. He serves as the Entertainment Police and is responsible for giving me my daily dose of 300 laughs. It's the secret of our marriage. Here is another of our secrets: No matter what, he is always right on even days and I am always right on odd days. Today is an odd day: I can do no wrong!
PHILOSOPHY
Always keep a screw loose!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Primarily by hosting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During the 70's and 80's I hitchhiked, camped, and "couch-surfed" (a term that did not exist back then) throughout the USA, Mexico and Belize.
Living in Hawaii means that you're always hosting friends and family. I'm happy to add Couch Surfers to our expanding circle of friends. Don't be surprised if you're invited to model some of the Trash Art costumes I'm working on. My last CS guests dutifully posed in costumes for a King, Wizard, and Jester. Check out their photos. You're also welcome to pose with my mannequins and wear any of their wigs, hats,or glasses.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any and all, except for horror, sappy romance, and religious fanaticism.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I watched a martial artist shatter a concrete block into a thousand pieces, not by hitting it, but by gently laying his hand on it.
Recently my husband had open heart surgery. Even though it has become a routine procedure, we forget what an enormous assault it is on the body. In watching him recover, I'm in awe every day at how miraculous and resilient our bodies are.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach classes in Trash Art, write autobiographical stories for performance, and do my best to mess up at least once a day. Getting lost is good, too. My karate teacher tells me that I need to bow and say Thank You when I die, because dying is the best thing any of us will ever do. Something to look forward to.
