I've been in Portugal for over two years, it's a beautiful place with lovely people. I love music, and go to musical events whenever I can. I live in a fairly spacious, ground floor flat on the edge of Leiria. I'm vegetarian, and unintentionally nearly-vegan because I'm allergic to dairy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find that although people are very friendly, everyone seems to stop making new friends by the time they're about 30 - as someone new to the area, that leaves me pretty isolated. So I joined here to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I sing the great choral classics in a very professional choir, on the other hand, I love going to pubs with a good singer or rock band. In books I enjoy fantasy and historical fiction. I don't enjoy film or TV very much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to Portugal was pretty amazing. I didn't know anyone here, had never visited portugal, didn't know the language, and at the time, I was disabled - barely able to walk. My legs suddenly recovered just before I left and to my delight, I didn't have to be wheeled onto the plane.
