About Me

Just a girl from Australia backpacking around and trying to meet fun new people and see lovely parts of the world. I enjoy music, history, getting out into nature, and having a few drinks with some good food. I’m pretty laid back and I can be a bit quiet sometimes but I enjoy listening to people and learning about their life and how their brains tick. I don’t expect hosts to hang out with me 24/7 and like to be on my own and do my own things every now and then, but I also love the idea of really getting to know someone in their home and learning about how they view life and the place that they live, or just sharing a couple beers and talking about stupid stuff as well :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After staying in many many hostels I’ve come to feel like I really want to see the real inner workings of cities and places, rather than just be surrounded by other tourists all the time, and I’d love to be able to really get to know some people who know and love the city/place that they’re living in

Interests

I’m most interested in history and learning about what influences the way people think and live their lives, but generally speaking my interests are pretty broad and varied; I enjoy reading and writing, listening to music, musing about this and that and the universe. I like napping and hiking, wandering around museums and learning about any old and ancient things that have helped create who we are today.. I enjoy art and watching films, learning languages, going to beaches - I’ve recently started scuba diving and found that it’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done in my life

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eating lunch on the steps of a guard tower on a secluded part of the Great Wall.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know how much I can offer in terms of teaching, but I’m eager to learn about different cultures, languages and histories. And I’d love to share different world perspectives and thoughts on life. I’d also love to learn some new card games!

What I Can Share with Hosts

An open and compassionate ear, help around the house
