and I like to sleep ... once in a while

PHILOSOPHY

Mmmh, I have been a big Nietzsche Fan in the past (it's slowly changing / evolving as I see more and more that the world is not as cruel as he thought it is) and his: "What does not kill us, makes us stronger" has helped me through some rough patches. But this is really very personal of course.
I can subscribe to the basic principle of: 'Treat others as you wanna be treated'.

Btw. I find the one question below a little bit strange: "Why do you live your life?"
What is this for a question? Because I have it, thats why. What answer can be given to such a question? I wonder ...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is great, it makes me see a reason in life & gives me hope, that we might be able to shape the society in a way that makes it better. Simply makes the World a better & worthwhile place to life in.
Just coming together, sharing experiences, talking, laughing & understanding, that is my way of participation. And it seems like I've already could convince a few people, that there are "non normalish" Germans (including especially me ;) out there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have really enjoyed every activity / meeting I had through CS so far. The people who participate are so diverse and interesting. I cannot imagine getting bored here.

I like Gothic, Alternative, Rock, Metal, Pop, Punk Music (in no particular order).
I like Movies I can think about & which do surprise me.
I can also go for a silly movie of course, depends on the mood and the people I'm with.
Bookwise I'm just going through 'How the Mind works' by Steven Pinker at the moment, and read a few others on the side.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have seen the wall come down and participated in the demonstrations against the communist regime. I still have a thankful feeling whenever I cross a border somewhere. Especially in Europe, you sometimes hardly notice this anymore. Growing up behind the iron curtain, really made me appreciate this freedom we have now.

Another amazing thing I have seen, was a six weeks old Embryo in its mothers womb through sonar waves (I was working in a hospital at this time). It was just marvelous to look at the little living thing.

To enjoy as much as possible! It would be a false statement to say "every moment" as you could not appreciate a good moment if you never were sad, lonely or hopeless. You cannot appreciate sunshine, if it never rains ...
Man, I'm so deep ... ;)
